Singapore’s Jurong Region Line (JRL) is set to provide enhanced connectivity and support growth in the Jurong area. Announced in the 2020 Land Transport Master Plan, the 26-kilometre line will improve connections between the city centre and the western areas of the city. The JRL will be the sixth MRT line in Singapore and is scheduled to open in 2026.
The JRL will have 24 stations and will connect the Jurong Lake District, the Jurong Industrial Estate and the Jurong Innovation District. It will also link up with the existing North-East Line, East-West Line, Downtown Line and the Cross Island Line. The line will pass through the Jurong East Bus Interchange, the International Business Park, the National University of Singapore, the National University Hospital and the Jurong East MRT Interchange. The line will also pass through the Jurong Innovation District, the Jurong Gateway cluster and the Jurong Lake District.
